English End-of-year Exam Revision Program - Units 3 and 4 Melbourne

The 10 Hour End-of-Year Exam Revision Program is split into two parts:

  1. Subject Specific Exam Revision (8 Hours on English)

    Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Units 3 and 4 Areas of Study under the new Study Design including;Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument.

    Part 1: Analysing Argument (2 hours)

    Part 2: Text Response Exam Preparation.
    A thorough analysis of how to write the most effective Text Response Essay in the final exams. (2 hours - texts will not be covered individually)

    Part 3: Part 3: Comparative Text Exam Preparation. A thorough analysis of one of the following Comparative Texts: The Hate Race / Charlie's Country, The Queen / Ransom, Things We Didn't See Coming / Never Let Me Go, Reckoning / Brooklyn, The Crucible / The Dressmaker, Photograph 51 / My Brilliant Career, The 7 Stages Of Grieving / The Longest Memory or I Am Malala / Pride (3.5 hours - Comparative Texts will be covered individually).
     

  2. Conquer the Exams - Strategies for success seminar (2 Hours)

    In this 2 hour session students will learn the essential techniques and strategies used by high performing students to achieve elite results in their exams. From high level skills and a success driven mindset to time management and enhanced memory techniques, our students will be given the skills necessary to conquer the exams.
