Mathematical Methods Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 1 and 2*

Our Mathematical Methods Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 1 and Unit 2.

Students are not permitted to order these tasks.

The Mathematical Methods Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.

TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are designed to address all of the key areas of the Mathematical Methods Study Design, providing schools with an invaluable resource for assessing the coursework component outlined specifically by the VCAA for Mathematical Methods. All tasks are supplied with full solutions.

Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) for Mathematical Methods  have been prepared for both Unit 1 and 2. The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 1 Package includes 5 tasks -

Three Tests (short answer and technology free - Outcome 1):

2. On Functions and Relations
3. Rates of change

One Test (short answer and technology free) - Outcome 2):

1. On Probability

One Problem-solving (Analysis and technology enabled) Tasks (Outcomes 2 and 3):

1. On Polynomials

Unit 2 Package includes 7 tasks -

Four Tests (Outcome 1):

1. Short answer and technology free test on Exponential and logarithmic functions
2. Multiple choice and extended response tech enabled test on Circular Functions
3. Short answer and technology free test on Calculus
4. Short answer and technology free test on Probability

One Test (multiple choice and extended response- Outcomes 1 & 3):

1. Test (multiple choice and extended response technology enabled) on Probability

One Modelling (Application) Task and One Problem-solving (Analysis) Task (Outcomes 2 and 3):

1. Modelling task (application task technology enabled) on Circular functions
2. Problem-solving (Analysis task tech enabled) on Calculus

These packages are provided to schools giving teachers a degree of flexibility in the assessment tasks they set for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.

*Unit 1 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 7, 2024 and Unit 2 will be released on May 22, 2024. Orders made in advance are welcome.
