Anatoly joined TSSM in 2017. Anatoly is a very passionate VCE Mathematics and Software Development teacher who is dedicated to his students' success. Anatoly has been teaching VCE Mathematics for over a decade with a keen interest in high goal orientated students. His ability to go into as much depth as required is a benefit of having such a high caliber Mathematician as a teacher.
Before becoming a teacher, Anatoly was a senior software engineer, which provided him with further expertise in VCE Software Development. With years of industry experience in developing, engineering and designing practical software applications, his students have been able to truly benefit from his real world experience in the field.
At TSSM Anatoly is a brilliant Mathematics and Software Development Teacher, who teaches all three VCE Mathematics subjects. His ability also extends to writing excellent VCE resources used by students and teachers alike.
Teaching Philosophy:
The good teacher must have a deep appreciation of how knowledge is created in the discipline, how it is organised and how it is linked to real life problems.
Anatoly uses his knowledge and skills to expose his students to modes of critical thinking, encouraging them to analyse, apply, synthesize, and evaluate all they learned. Anatoly uses teaching strategies that appeal to different learning styles and that engage all students and create the best environment help them to construct their knowledge. He believes that learning requires thinking and he sees himself as someone who helps, using various already proven pedagogical approaches, students to learn.
Anatoly loves the subjects he teaches, and he knows how to make them come alive for his students.
