Role at TSSM:

Since starting with TSSM in 2022, Marisa has been an integral member of the Psychology and English team.

Marisa's experience as a teacher spans over three decades. Her passion for her subjects make her a brilliant teacher and communicator. She has the ability and skill to be able to break down complicated concepts into much more understandable chunks, helping students to thoroughly enjoy the subjects and prepare for their examinations.

Marisa's role at TSSM is driven by her passion teaching Psychology and English where she presents VCE head start and revision programs for keen students who want to excel in their VCE.

Marisa is also a very effective writer who loves to prepare high quality VCE resources that are used by thousands of students and teachers alike.

Teaching Philosophy:

Teaching involves engendering success for the students by developing their curiosity and love of learning. This happens by a teacher's ability to foster engagement, accessibility, connection and challenge. A teacher's passion for their subject makes all the difference and it is a fundamental aspect of the learning experience.

Interests:

Watching movies especially arthouse ones;
Attending live performances such at the theatre, concerts and comedy shows;
Socialising with friends at a nice restaurant and especially, walking along the beach as it gives a sense of serenity.
