Michael has been part of the TSSM team since 2023.

Michael is an extremely passionate teacher who enjoys helping VCE students achieve their goals in Mathematics and History. Michael enjoys seeing his students achieve their learning outcomes while scoring impressive study scores in their subject.

Teaching VCE since 2016 Michael has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in both History: Revolutions and Mathematics, in particular in General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Foundation Mathematics. Michael is extremely effective in assessing and providing feedback on students' assessment tasks, helping them improve and develop the skills essential to perform highly in their examinations.

At TSSM Michael plays an important role in presenting our Head Start and Exam Preparation programs and in producing high quality VCE resources for his specialty subjects.

Teaching Philosophy:

A teacher is someone who not only delivers content to build knowledge and ability but also a student's sense of agency in their learning. Students at senior levels need to not only be instructed in knowledge but be given the opportunity to question, extend and begin to develop their own approach, and through that passion, to the subject. As such lessons need to give the student the chance to practice, extend or consolidate their skills.

Interests:

Michael's interests include team sport and travelling along with further reading and developing his own skill set and knowledge in the areas he teaches, after all learning never stops!
