Sherie's exposure and qualifications in Outdoor and Environmental Studies is unparalleled including living in Rural Victoria on a large property and enjoying the outdoor living that regional Victoria brings.

Sherie is a brilliant teacher, with over a decade of experience, who is able to engage her students by getting them involved in the learning process, and with her enthusiasm for outdoors she is able to help her students achieve exceptional study scores each year.

A true asset to the TSSM team, Sherie is also part of TSSM's writing team, assisting in the development of exceptional VCE resources used by thousands of students and schools alike.

Teaching Philosophy:

Teachers should have detailed knowledge of the subject content and aspire to establish a rapport with students in order to inspire confidence from them.

Content should be engaging and from a variety of mediums to extend the reach of the information to students from a variety of backgrounds and learning needs.

Students should be actively involved in the learning process as much as possible in a variety of ways.

Feedback should be provided that is accurate and explicit in a timely manner in order to be effective.

In relation to Outdoor and Environmental Studies, local examples from the environment enable students to practically apply the concepts taught and increase their understanding.
